Mat Pilates is a good introduction to Pilates for beginners, as it is easily adaptable to suit all levels and abilities. All Pilates exercises can be modified increasing or decreasing the level to suit the individuals. It can also be adapted to accommodate working from a chair and from a standing position. 

Pilates benefits include greater mobility of joints, flexibility and easing muscular tension, improved posture, increased core strength, better balance and coordination and increased body awareness.

Mat Pilates is perfect for beginners as you only need a Mat and floor space to start.

The use of small equipment such as balls, bands, rings, rollers can also be introduced to assist in recruiting the right muscles, aiding good technique, increasing intensity or adding variety.

All our Pilates classes cater for mixed abilities, so you can attend any class on the timetable to suit around your commitments. Doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or an experienced Pilates member as different options are given throughout the class.

However we found that sometimes beginners needed a little bit more support, benefitted from a slower pace and more repetition. Hence developing our New Pilates Programme purely for Beginners.

What You Get As Part Of Our Beginner Pilates Programme

3 x 60min Beginner Pilates Classes

1 Class a week at our Pilates Studio over a 3 week period (Wednesdays 700-8.00pm)

These classes will be delivered at a Beginner level to help you learn the basics of Pilates.

You will be taught simple, but effective exercises that will help improve your mobility and flexibility whilst easing your aches and pains.

Unlimited Access to our On-Demand Area which includes:

– 30+ Short Pilates Workouts (10-25min sessions)

– 8 Masterclasses

All this is for the Small Investment of Only £21.00

Our Beginner Pilates programme starts on Wednesday 17th April.
