Maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle has always been important to me, I believe that the secret to a long and happy life is to nourish your body with good food, exercise regularly and appreciate all the small moments. 

I have always preferred a class environment when exercising and participated in many different types of fitness classes. Over 10 years ago I attended my first Pilates classes, not really knowing much about it and since that day I have been hooked!

I dipped in and out of practising Pilates for quite a few years, with Clare as one of my instructors. I quickly fell in love with how Pilates made me feel, not just my body but my mind as well. It really helped me to relax and release tension.

Then I had a running injury. A stress fracture in my hip and, long story short, I was out of action from running for more than 3 years as it turned out to be more complicated than originally thought. The hospital told me my running days were over. If you are anything like me, you do not take someone telling you that you cannot do something you love laying down so I rehabilated myself through Pilates.

After experiencing my first yoga class, over 25 years ago, I was completely hooked and my enthusiasm for Yoga has only grown since then!

In 2001 I went on to train and qualify as a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga (3 year Diploma Course) and I have been teaching Yoga classes ever since.

I have studied different styles of Meditation and Pranayama (yoga breathing practices) including Yoga Nidra. I am also qualified to teach the research-based Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs course.
