Walter Quinones

I am a very creative and professional dance teacher, who has worked with people from different cultures. I rapidly developed my teaching technique in Greece, where I moved from Cali-Colombia my birth town. I have a wealth of experience working with different groups and people, which has enriched me and have given me motivation to continue teaching dance.

I am also a musician, a dance instructor of Caribbean dances (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata) and folklore dances from Latin-America, I am an ex-member of the folklore dance group “Carmen Lopez” of the Valley University, Cali Colombia. I have represented Colombia in the different international folk dance festivals held in Europe and Latin-America, giving me the opportunity to combine my studies of social work with dance and music.

I was a choreographer and dance teacher in the Hispano-american Association in Greece (Asclaye) for 14 years and a dance teacher in a variety of dance schools in Greece, among them Rising Stars who won the 1st place in IDTA salsa competition in Greece under my personal coaching in 2010 and the 3rd place in 2011.

I am also Level 2 certified in Teaching exercise, Movement & Dance and Level 2 Certified in Fitness Instructing-Exercise To Music and certified workshop of Bachata and Caribbean rhythms by the Tango Vivo School of Cali Colombia.

Music and dance is a way to express yourself through your feelings and emotions.
At the same time salsa is a way to maintain a healthy life through its practice to improve our cardiovascular, nervous and muscular system. While toning our body, our mental aspect also benefits through interaction with others and improves our social life.
